Happy Birthday Frank!

The family celebrated my father-in-law's birthday over the weekend. It was a milestone, the big 7-0 so only a special card would do! He is a lover of history and various tidbits of information so I wanted to incorporate that somehow into his card. I used the Word Play and Feeling Sentimenal stamp sets for the front. To achieve the tarnished look of the numbers and arrows, I sponged Basic Black ink over our Silver Glimmer Paper. Check out the inside of the card:

I created 3 of the 4 inside pages using My Digital Studio! Besides the text and images, I also added a worn canvas background to the Whisper White pages (and front of the card as well) to give it the appearance of worn texture. Can you see it? I used Fabulous Phrases for the "happy", "th" and "birthday".  The "th" is from the word "birthday"! I thought I was pretty clever with that one! The "70" is diecut from our Silver Glimmer Paper and tarnished as well just like his birth year on the front.  It was an in depth card to make, but fun as well. He LOVED it! Happy Stamping!
