Patriotic Birthday

Sometimes when your birthday is in July, one can't help but use the colors red, white and blue on the card. I found this to be the case for me anyway. This year, I found myself using these colors on almost all the birthday cards I had to make this month! I couldn't help myself! This card is no exception. I adhered the Whisper White stars onto the Cherry Cobbler card stock and then ran it through the Chevron Embossing Folder for texture. And you guessed it, Crumb Cake is the base of the card with a hint of Night of Navy to round out my patriotic color scheme. Super fun and quick to make! Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Josh!

Today's card was specially made for my nephew who turned 14. Happy Birthday Josh! He's all into sports and what not so I pulled out my oldie but goodie stamp set,  Penguin Paradise. Love those penguins! I used the Typeset Alphabet die to cut out the number '14' in two different colors, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse which I then layered on top of each other. I used the 'Happy Birthday' stamp in the From the Heart stamp set and stamped each word on a number. I thought that was a creative way to put the greeting on the front of the card. Love it when you try ideas and they work out, because not all do! Happy Stamping!

Crumb Cake Love

I love Crumb Cake. Yep, there I go. I said it. It's just such a versatile color, I find myself grabbing for it all the time. You can make it bright, dark, or subtle. Instead of a "little black dress", I have a "little crumb cake" one! {Smiles} I thought I would highlight the new Mosaic Madness stamp set, punch, and coordinating embossing folder. Product bundles are awesome! Woo Hoo! Happy Stamping!

Thank You to My Gals

Hi stampers! Sorry I've been lagging somewhat with my posts lately. I've been busy with custom work orders (Woo Hoo!) and I was gone for several days last week getting my creative bucket full again. Now, it's back to business! I've missed you!

Thought I would share the thank you's I put in my Stamp Club Gal's orders after our last gathering. I kept them sweet and simple. To create the vase for the Bright Blossoms stem of flowers, I punched out a Small Oval in Cherry Cobbler card stock then simply cut off about a third of the oval. Voila! Instant vase.

A new Stamp Club will be starting in September. If you're interested in coming over every other month to make some fabulous projects, contact me and I can send you all the details. I like to spoil my gals! *wink wink* Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Robin!

I had to dust Miss Stella Stamper off and put her to use creating this birthday card for my close friend. Happy Birthday Robin! One of her favorite colors is Calypso Coral, so I knew I had to incorporate it into her card. Stella took a little time to color, but our Many Marvelous Markers did the trick! Definitely a must have when you have line art images. It's a little hard to tell, but I used our fabulous Dazzling Diamonds glitter and our Two-Way Glue Pen so Miss Stella is wearing her pair of sparkly bunny slippers! Gotta love it! Happy Stamping!

Happy Fourth!

Happy Fourth everyone! This was one of the projects my Stamp Club members made at our last gathering. I was waiting until today to share it with you all. I love this modified and creative version of our flag! It's a little hard to tell, but all the Whisper White card stock is actually sponged along the edges with Crumb Cake ink to make it a little more vintage looking. I used various sizes of our Oval Framelits to create the base of the flag and I used the Boho Blossoms punch to punch out the Crumb Cake & Whisper White "stars". I love our Glimmer Paper. It's by far the 'sparkliest' paper I've ever seen! Hope you have a fun and safe holiday today. Happy Stamping!

Sweet Sandy

Thought I would share a card I received from my dear friend. {Hi Sandy!} What a wonderful treat to find in my mailbox, especially during a very hectic week. It's a little hard to tell, but she scored a line down the middle of each flower petal to give them dimension. I love the simplicity of this card with the pop of color. Sometimes less really is more! Thank you Sandy for brightening my week! I really needed it. Happy Stamping!

It's A Zoo In Here

I love being asked to create certain things for events, whether it's invitations, favors, or decorations. I always feel so honored to be a part of that special day for someone. I had fun creating these baby shower favors last week. A couple found out they are expecting a little girl, which they have already named Kiley. They have decorated the nursery with giraffes and elephants and I since don't have stamps with either of those animals, I whipped out my punches and created my own! I think they turned out super cute! Each guest was to receive a Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer, so I suggested to use the Sweet Pea scented ones so I could incorporate that into the wording on the tag which I created using MDS.

To create the giraffe, I used the Small Oval, Owl Builder, and Scallop Border punches. Wouldn't you love to go home with one of these after attending a baby shower? Happy Stamping!

Banner Thanks

Inspired by a card by Jenny Peterson, I took her basic idea and ran with it to create this card for a dear friend after spending a fabulous morning with her. It was so nice to catch up and go 'junkin' with her. We always have a blast together! We found some fabulous deals! I can't wait to repurpose some of my purchases from that day. Woo Hoo! {Can I just say, Pinterest is my new addiction. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that site! So many wonderful ideas on there to incorporate into your house, cooking, stamping, etc. You can really find anything on there!} I used our Photopolymer stamp set, Designer Type for the main parts of the card and Fabulous Phrases for the Pool Party background. I do like the Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Real Red color combination as well; it's fresh and crisp! Happy Stamping!
