In Love with "Wonderfall"

All I can say is I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Wonderfall stamp set and coordinating Autumn Accents die!! Did you know both are still available? They are 2 out of the 28 items that were carried over from the Holiday Mini catalog. They can be found on page 36 in the new Spring Mini catalog. {Need a copy? Let me know and I'll get one to you!} I made this gift ensemble for an awesome gal who I was lucky enough to have join my stamping downline team recently.  I'm very blessed to be among such a creative group of gals! Happy Stamping!

Introducing "Scraptastic Ideas"!

Hello stampers! I am introducing a fabulous NEW category that will appear on my blog from time to time called, "I'm a Scraptastic Idea!" What is it? Well, if you're like me you might just have a little pile of scraps on your crafting table such as extra punched pieces of card stock, or little stamped pieces that you made to put on an item, but in the end decided not to and you couldn't bring yourself to throw them away. Well, it's time to put those extra little pieces to good use! From time to time, when I am looking for inspiration, I decide to use some of my "scraps" to make a masterpiece (and hopefully make my scrap pile a little smaller at the same time and reclaim some space on my table.)

These were some of the scraps sitting on my craft table...

And from them, these two cards were created:

With the snowman, I actually took 2 of the snowflake textured card stock pieces and put them next to each other. The Real Red framelit hides their seam. Two fun and quick cards! Hopefully inspiration will strike you and your scraps! Happy Stamping!

Little Duckie

Is it a boy? Is a girl? This sweet baby card works for both! This duckie is rather cute isn't it? You can find it in the "Easy Events" stamp set along with 7 other fabulous stamps for various occasions. It's such a versatile set. I pulled out my "Tiny Tags" stamp set and coordinating punch as well to make the cute 'baby' and 'love' tags that are being held on by a Linen Thread bow. I am in LOVE with our Linen Thread! It adds so much! (Can you see the Certainly Celery background on each tag using the little swirl that comes in that set as well to help give the tags some depth?) Just a fun, simple and sweet card to welcome any little bundle of joy! Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Cheyann!

Today is my niece, Cheyann's 5th Birthday! Happy Birthday girlie! This is the card I created and mailed to her. I recently accumulated this oldie, but goodie, stamp set "Kids At Play" from my sister who no longer needed it. So, I thought what better time to pull it out and give a whirl! I thought it would be appropriate for this sweet little girl to be holding 5 balloons. The grass is actually sponged with Wild Wasabi ink to give it a little depth. And it's hard to tell, but I sponged clouds in the sky using a Scallop Circle Punch, a sponge and Bashful Blue ink. I thought the card turned out rather cute for my first attempt with this set. Hope she has a fantastic day! Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday Joni!

Today is my sister-in-law, Joni's birthday! Thought I would share the card I created and mailed to her for her special day. It was rather fun and easy to make. The flower consists of a 1 1/4" circle punch, Blossom punch, Floral Frames Famelits and the Wide Oval punch. Add a few small pearls and voila! a gorgeous flower in no time!  I added depth by inking the weeds/flowers from the My Friend stamp set once, but stamping it 3 times for a fun background. I hope she likes her card! Happy Stamping!

Highlighting Adhesive Sheets

Almost every time my Downline Team gathers, I give them a challenge to do for the next time we meet. It can be a color challenge, a product challenge, anything really that will help broaden their stamping creativity. During one our gatherings, I demonstrated how to use the Big Shot Mulitpurpose Adhesive Sheets, an item often overlooked in the catalog. Together we made a project so they could see first hand how to use it. I then gave them each part of a sheet to take home and told them to create a card using it in any form. Well, they all brought back wonderful ideas using it!

Today I thought I would share how I used the Big Shot Multipurpose Sheets. Not only can you send this fabulous adhesive through our Big Shot die cutting machine, but you can punch it as well! For this card, I punched various size circles out of the adhesive, applied them to the Cherry Cobbler card stock then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on top. This card is much cuter (and shinier) in person! What a fun background this catalog item helped to make on this card! The possibilities are endless! Happy Stamping!

"Happiness is..."

A fun and cheerful card highlighting the Bright Blossoms and Loving Thoughts stamp sets. To change it up a bit, I used the the large Scallop Square die for the base of the card.  I sent this card to all members of my Downline Team letting them know that "Happiness...is having them on my team!" I truly am thankful to have such a great group of women to get creative with! Happy Stamping!

Sweet 15

A birthday card for my sweet niece who turned 15. (Boy, am I starting to feel old!) Her favorite color is orange, so I chose to highlight with Tangerine Tango. The cupcakes (did you notice there are exactly 15 of them!) are from the Carry On Hostess stamp set and were easily punched out using the 1" circle punch to make a fun background. It's hard to tell, but the numbers are actually die cut out of chipboard with the card stock adhered on top so they are raised up and give the card some depth. The words are from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set. Add a little bling with Pool Party ribbon and a rhinestone and voila! You have a fun and oh, so sweet card! Happy Stamping!

"Twiz' the Season"

Today I thought I would share a gift I made for my sister, Tammy.  She hosts our family Christmas every year. (I guess that's what you get for having the biggest house to accommodate all 24 of us!)  But seriously, she is always so gracious and opens her house to us all for a weekend so we can spend time together as a family. This year I gave her this glass jar of Twizzlers (which I know she LOVES!) as an extra thank you for being so kind. I made the tree part of the tag using the Scentsational Season stamp set out of the holiday mini catalog along with the coordinating framelits and baker's twine. I printed the quote out using my computer onto Whisper White card stock then used framelits to cut it out and tied the tag on with hemp. I thought this gift idea was rather ingenious! She was surprised to open it up under the tree, gave out a good chuckle and immediately dove into it! And when the Twizzlers are gone she can use the jar for something else. So thank you again Tammy! Happy Stamping!

An Angel in the Making

A dear friend surprised me with a beautiful metal angel for Christmas that I had admired at a craft show. She got me good! Of course a thank you was in order, so this is the card I created for her. I thought only an angel in return would be fitting so I used the Petite Pennants Builder punch for her body, 3/4" Circle punch for her head and hair, Small Oval punch for her halo (LOVE our glimmer paper!) and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and vellum for her wings. Can you see how they are the large butterfly? A simple angel, but oh so sweet, just like my friend! Happy Stamping!

Betsy's Nesting

I thought this card was fitting for my first actual project to show on my blog. I LOVE the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set! It's so fun and versatile! Can you see? I used the big blossom to make the bird's nest. Pretty clever I thought. It's hard to tell, but there is lots of dimension on the card as I popped certain things up like the nest, bird wing, leaves and some of the flowers. I also put a small rhinestone in the center of each flower to add some bling. Happy Stamping!
