Happy Birthday Kelli!

Sorry I've been MIA this past week. I was super busy planning, prepping and cohosting a major stamping event, Stampalooza! It was a fabulous time and I loved stamping with all my gals that attended and all the new ones I got to meet! My other four cohosts were a dream to work with! Can't wait until our next big event together! Don't worry, pictures will soon follow! I was also commissioned to do baby shower favors for a dear gal I know. Those turned out super cute, and I will share those with you this week as well, so stay tuned!

But today I wanted to share with you a birthday card I made for a friend of mine.

I had fun playing around with the Pennant Parade, Woodgrain and You're Amazing stamp sets. I challenged myself to make something fun and different just for her. Hope you had an amazing birthday, Kelli! Happy Stamping!

Love Birds

A dear couple I know are celebrating their anniversary this week. Happy Anniversary you two love birds! I think the image of the two birds in the bird bath from the For The Birds stamp set is perfect for a love inspired card! I wanted to note that the card base is actually smaller than usual. I purposely made it smaller because I wanted the Calypso Coral pennant flag to hang off the edge but still fit in a regular envelope for mailing. So from the tip of the Calypso Coral card stock to the other end of the card is the regular 5 1/2" in length. Just something a little different to change things up a bit. Happy Stamping!

Emily's Special Day

We attended my niece, Emily's First Communion last Sunday. Here she is afterwards with her certificate and cross that was given to her by the church. She was so excited for the big day! We are so proud of her and the path she has chosen to follow in life. Love you Emily! For her special day, only a special card and gift would do!

I kept the card simple and sweet using the Lattice Die to make the cross. I simply cut away parts of the image until the cross was achieved. I used Whisper White, Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Calypso Coral card stock. We gave her a Mother of Pearl cross necklace for her to remember her special day. She loved it! Happy Stamping!

Thinking Of My Dad

This is the last of the Father's Day cards I made this year. This special one was for my dad. He's a farmer through and through so I thought these oldie, but goodie stamp sets did the trick. I used the Chicken Wire Background, Times & Seasons, and Whimsical Words. I punched a 2 1/2" circle through the Crumb Cake Chicken Wire Card stock so the farm scene is actually behind that layer. I did use the current Typeset Alphabet Die Set to create the word "DAD" and texturized that with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I LOVE that alphabet die set! It's the PERFECT size for cards! Happy Stamping!

Color Challenge 6

Thought I would switch gears today and join in on the color challenge over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. These colors drew me in! What a great color combination that can be made feminine or masculine. Love it! I kept my card clean and simple.

I decided to use some of my new toys out of the new catalog. Isn't the catalog fabulous?!? I have so much more on my wish list to get! *wink wink* All in time I tell myself. Today I thought I would highlight the Mosaic Madness bundle. By that I mean, the stamp set, coordinating punch and embossing folder! FABULOUS! Love it when we have such awesome coordinating products at our finger tips. Happy Stamping!

Got Skunk?

Yes, these are three out of the four baby skunks I found in my yard last week. They were just having a 'hay day' eating my hostas, playing in my mulch, and hanging out by my holly tree. Ugghh! Now I've seen my fair share of skunks in my lifetime, but never baby skunks...and especially not a litter of four all at once! Needless to say, I was less than enthused that they were taking up residence in my yard. I have a 3 year old after all that likes to go outside and play! So a call to my father-in-law and well, let's just say the skunks are now members of the 'Victims Relocation Program'. I thought it only fitting that his Father's Day card reflect this recent favor he did for us.

Pretty cute huh? I LOVE punch art! There isn't anything you can't make with a few punches. The inside of the card read, "to the man who took care of our skunk problem." He got a kick out of it! Happy Stamping!

Last Day to Sign Up!

This is the last day to sign up for this FABULOUS event! And don't forget I need your payment along with your reservation. I hope you can join us! Happy Stamping!

Ode To Uncle Fred

It was a rather busy weekend, with celebrating Father's Day and my niece's First Communion. This year I had to make three different Father's Day cards. I'll be sharing all of them over the course of the week. The first being this one for Ryan's Uncle Fred who is here visiting from Texas. He's been here for a week and will be departing tomorrow. He was here to celebrate both big events this weekend, so of course, he needed a card as well! I used the retired Countryside and Day of Gratitude stamp sets. Both which I LOVE and will miss dearly! {They are staying in my personal stash though. *wink wink*} I really like the Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo and Crumb Cake color combination I came up with. I will definitely have to use it again! Happy Stamping!

Pooh For Liliana

A friend recently delivered her sweet baby girl, Lilana six weeks early. Liliana is still in the hospital, but hoping to go home soon! They were doing her nursery in Winnie-the-Pooh so I couldn't resist doing a little punch art and making Pooh. To make Pooh, I used the following punches: Owl Builder {head, ears, eyes, nose, body & shirt},Word Window {arms}, and Bird Builder (legs). I handwrote the sentiment and drew the eyebrows and smile.

This card accompanied two cute outfits that little Miss Liliana can wear this summer. I never get to shop in the little girl department, so I had fun! She is a true blessing! Happy Stamping!

Goin' Up

I am truly honored to be the leader of a great group of gals!  I appreciate every one of them and their talents! One of my Downline Gals is doing amazing with her stamping business, earning FREE stamps every chance she can! She is a gal on a mission. Way to go! Thought I would take a minute and send her a card to let her know how proud I am of her and all her accomplishments. The inside says it all -

Happy Stamping!

Sweet Suzanne

I received this wonderful birthday gift from my dear friend, Suzanne. {Hi Suzanne!} She is a true paper crafter, always paying attention to the tiny details. I LOVE how she coordinated my birthday card with the gift bag! Too cute! I'm all into owls, and she was super sweet to give me this cute owl mug filled with peanut butter cups! Who can beat chocolate and peanut butter all wrapped into one?! Thanks Suzanne for making my day even more special! Happy Stamping!

Fairy Land

Sunday was my niece, Emily's Dance Recital. She did an AMAZING job! As an 8 year old, she's all into fairies now. I created this "Fairy Land" card with her in mind. See the sparkly fairy wings hiding behind the mushroom? Silly fairy!

While shopping one day, I came across this box of fairy stickers. PERFECT for Emily! So I tried to coordinate the card with her gift by replicating the mushrooms and flowers to make my own "Fairy Land". She LOVED it! Happy Stamping!

Treats For My Club Gals

Every time my Stamp Club Gals gather, there is always a little something waiting for them at their spot at the table when they arrive. I like to spoil them! This last gathering they received this cute candy treat that holds two miniature candy bars.

The base is simply one die cut shape from the Label Collection Framelits that I scored in two areas and folded up. I stapled them shut at the top. The punched flower hides the staple quite well! Happy Stamping!

It's All About The Cupcakes

A fun and vibrant birthday card that I offered at my last Birthday Bash Buffet. Who can resist cupcakes after all? The cupcake is from the retired Sale-A-Bration set, Patterned Occasions and I used the greetings (inside and out) from the Create A Cupcake set. They worked perfectly for this card! This card could be easily recreated by using the cupcake images from the current Create A Cupcake set as well. Happy Stamping!

15 Minute Thank You

A fun and simple Thank You card completed in 15 minutes! Woo Hoo! I had the large white oval left over from another class, and the two Daffodil Delight butterflies were in my scrap basket. I used the My Friend stamp set for the flower background on the oval and I also used the 'sparkle circle' stamp from that set too and added some interest onto the butterflies by stamping them.

I used the Build a Bird Punch and punched some branches to create a 3D effect on the stems of the punched flowers. Give your scraps a second look, you'll never know what you can create with them! Happy Stamping!
