Happy Little Black Bird

My name is Jennifer and sometimes I get "punch happy"! I think there really should be a support group for paper crafters who love punch art as much as I do. LOL I had these punched scallop circles sitting on top of my table just staring at me. I was working on my club projects today, when suddenly I had to stop. The lightbulb went on in my head!

I sponged, then snipped apart each scallop and layered them on top of each other to create a large overgrown sunflower! Well, then that really got the wheels in my head turning and I started to create a fun scene for this flower that included the sky, grass, a roughed up wooden fence, and a cute little black bird!

I used two punches to create this cute little guy. Can you guess what they were? For the body I used the bird wing from the Bird Builder punch and for his actual little wing, I used one leaf off of the branch from that same punch as well. Now for his beak I used the tip of the Mosaic punch. Do you see them now? I used my Basic Black marker to draw two little legs and my Signo White Gel Pen to dot on an eye. Super easy and super cute! Love it when my lightbulb moments work out! Happy Stamping!
