Creation Station Blog Hop - Fall Fest

Happy October! Wait, it's October already?!? Is it just me or are these months just flying by this year! Every time I turn around, weeks have passed by. But I must admit though that this is my FAVORITE time of year! Oh how I LOVE fall days! Who's with me on that one?

With a new month beginning, comes a new blog hop Sunday! For this time our options were -
  • Use the Fall Fest stamp set and/or bundle
  • Halloween themed projects
  • Highlight the use of our Tiny Treat Boxes
Sounds good to me! I thought it would be fun to use the Fall Fest Bundle and make this Halloween card -

I thought the 3 different faces would make for a fun background paper. I placed all three on a bigger block at the same time, inked them up and stamped away! That's one of the perks with our photopolymer stamps. You can put as many as you want on and in any which way you want on our clear blocks. LOVE it!

I thought it would also be fun to double layer my greeting. I die cut these fun letters using our Little Letters Thinlits in Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black. Think of the possibilities!

Well, then I sat and stared at the Fun Fall Framelits Dies that coordinate with the Fall Fest stamp set and I had one of those voila! moments. It's not necessarily very "halloween-ish", but I couldn't help but share it.

Meet Arty, my little alligator. When I looked at the ghost intended framelit, I saw monster feet (that is, after you cut off the two little arms). Take a closer look at the feet...they are upside down ghosts! For his head and nose I used the wide oval punch, large oval punch and 3/4" circle punch. I used the ghost framelit again in one more way. Can you see how? Yep, for his teeth! I die cut a ghost and then trimmed the head part off and voila! you've got a set of alligator chompers!

Here's a side view so you can see his tail that's off to the side. And did you notice his toe nails? Any guess what I used to make them? Why, one of the pumpkin faces in the Fall Fest stamp set! Using my Basic Black marker, I inked up one eye and stamped it on each of his toes!  I attached him to a Tiny Treat Box and wrapped it up in our wonderful new Rich Razzleberry Cotton Ribbon. What a delightful little treat he is don't you think?

I hope you enjoyed these two creations today. I enjoyed sharing them with you and hopefully opened your mind up to the versatility of our Fall Fest Bundle and Tiny Treat Boxes. Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Kallan's creativity or you can hop along to see what cleverness Justin has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!

  1. Arty is so cute! I like how your mind works! I also really love the faces for the background. That's very clever!

  2. So many things to love. Your baby alligator and the background made with the faces - love the out of the box thinking.

  3. Aww, the alligator is so clever and cute! Great projects, Jennifer! I love how your background design with the faces turned out.

  4. The little crocodile gift box is just too cute!
