Happy Birthday Ben!

Happy Wednesday stampers! Today's card was specifically made for my nephew's special day. Happy Birthday Ben! When I saw the Dots Embossing Folder in the Sale-A-Bration brochure, I immediately thought of the texture of a basketball! With a little ingenuity, this is what I came up. What do you think? I used the Basic Black Marker and drew the lines before texturizing it with the embossing folder. I then used Tangerine Tango Ink and sponge to give the ball some depth. His school colors are orange and blue so I wanted to personalize it that way for him. Overall, a simple and fun card that could be made for boys for girls depending on the colors chosen. Love it when that happens! Happy Stamping!

Getting Digital - Baby Style!

I was asked once again to do some custom work, so it was My Digital Studio to the rescue! I LOVE using this program when it comes to invites, announcements, etc. It comes in handy when you have A LOT to make! This time it was for a baby shower for a dear couple. Before sharing with you, I omitted personal information, hence the white box. I made these 5 x 7 inches in size so I could still print them for a reasonable price at my local photo place.

It was also requested that I include a separate little card that could be tucked into the envelope with the invitation. So I made these coordinating little cards-

I had these printed as wallet size. I did give the couple a complimentary copy of each following the shower so they could have them for their scrapbook. Have you designed in MDS today? If not, I suggest you give it a try! Happy Digitizing!

Sketch Challenge 4

Thought I would give the sketch challenge over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com a try this week. I found it a little tough, but I am not one to back down from a challenge.

It's a little hard to tell, but instead of making the strip of Coastal Cabana have such a defined point, I made it a little more subtle and used a punch instead. Can you tell which one I used? Wait for it....wait for it....I used the Label Bracket Punch! It coordinated with the Tags 4 You set in the last mini catalog. Just a little fun and different way of using that punch. Happy Stamping!

Way To Go!

I had a specific person in mind when I made this card, my awesome Downline Team Member Barrie! You rock girl! Keep up the great work! I like to celebrate milestones for my team members; whether it's sales, promotions, anniversaries, etc. There is always a reason to make and send a card and let someone know how proud you are of them! It's a little hard to tell, but I scored a diamond grid background using our Scoring Board with the Diagonal Plate. It takes no time at all with those tools! I then took the image from the Hello, Lovely set and using Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizazz inks, created a fun background stamping inside each of the scored diamonds. The flower is made using the Scallop Circle Punch and then using scissors to snip into the center creating individual petals. Add a little sparkle with our Silver Glimmer Paper as the center of the flower and rhinestones under the words and voila! a special card for a special gal! Happy Stamping!

From This To That

Happy Saturday everyone!  I have quite a few items on my To Do list today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get a lot of them checked off. I would jump up and down for joy if I got them all crossed off! Remember this picture I shared with you a couple weeks ago?

Would you like to see what I made out of this pile of wonderfulness? Ta da!!

I made wonderful little thank you matchbooks for all the attendees at my Sale-A-Bration/All Occasions Catalog Open House. Each matchbook contained a bag of m&m's inside. Yum! The heart stamped on the Wisteria Wonder card stock is from the Perfect Pennants set out of the All Occasions catalog. The large heart is embossed using the Dots Embossing folder and the two little banners at the top highlight the Banner Blast and Banner punch. All 3 of these items you can earn FREE until March 31! Woo Hoo!

Attendees got to make four fabulous cards highlighting stamp sets and accessories from both of those publications, as well as see other projects using products from those publications to give them even more ideas, snack on some delicious goodies, sign up for door prizes, and take one of these favors home with them as well. A wonderful time was had by all! Thank you again to all who attended! Happy Stamping!

Can't Get Enough Hearts

I had a special thank you to make for a dear friend who surprised me with a box of wonderfulness that I could use with stamping business. It was so kind of her to think of me! And yes, I've already put some of the items to good use! I thought it would be fun to stamp the heart from the Perfect Pennants set and create a wonderful background. Sometimes one image stamped consistently over a piece of card stock has just as much of an impact (and sometimes even more!) as a multi image one does. Using white embossing powder, I embossed my word stamp from the See Ya Later set onto our Vellum. I LOVE the subtleness it makes on the card even though it is right in the center. Want to see what the inside looks like before I personalized it? Voila!

Yep, more of those cute hearts! I really wanted her to know how much I loved her kind gesture! Happy Stamping!
