Creation Station Blog Hop - It's Time For A Wedding!

I'm so glad to see you tuned in to our blog hop today! With a different theme, stamps and accessories to highlight this round, you're sure to find inspiration on every stop along the blog hop! For this round, our options were:

1) Create wedding themes cards, gifts, favors, etc.
2) Use Traveler or World Map stamp set
3) Highlight the * NEW * Gift Card Enclosure Pack

Since I don't have options 2 or 3 here, option 1 it is!  And well, after surveying my stamp collection I have come to realization that I don't own any actual wedding intended sets! What?! Hmmm....what's a girl to do? GET CREATIVE! After all, we are in the creativity business aren't we? *wink wink*

I thought it would be fun to use some of our wonderful new In-Colors. Hello Honey just makes me smile when I say its name and Blackberry Bliss is just so yummy! Together they are a match made in heaven! I paired them with the Six Sided Sampler set and two new sets, Bravo and Something to Say.

I LOVE that Bravo is a photopolymer set! Stamping the words in 'just the right spot' is super easy since they are completely clear. Woo Hoo!

After making this non-traditional wedding card, I thought to myself, "What if it was reversed? What if those colors and general idea were the actual wedding theme?" At that moment, a light bulb went off!

That's when this super cute and easy sour cream container was created! Wouldn't this make wonderful wedding favors? I stamped the same Six Sided Sampler stamp as before and also stamped and punched out 4 of the same hearts. Aren't they cute? This heart punch is one of three in our new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I thought it would fun to have them dangle from the ends of the Baker's Twine bow. The twine is sandwiched in between two of the hearts. Easy to do and gives a fun little twist to the favors.

I hope you enjoyed both projects today. See, you really can create a wedding card when you don't own any wedding stamps! LOL

Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Kallan's creativity or you can hop along to see what creative genius Justin has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!

Creation Station with For The Birds

Hi stampers and paper crafters! I'm so glad to see you tuned in to our blog hop today! With different stamps and accessories to highlight this round, you're sure to find inspiration on every stop along the blog hop! For this round, our options were:

1) Use the * NEW * Something For Baby or Baby, We've Grown stamp sets
2) Use For The Birds stamp set
3) Highlight the * NEW *  Hamburger Die

Since I have option 2, that's what I went with; For The Birds, here I come with three fun projects! Woo Hoo!

For my first card, I stamped the bird bath stamp and omitted the words, then used one of the Chalk Talk Framelits to die cut it out. This made for a fun tag that is also my focal point. I loaded up on texture by using our Linen Thread (which I go through this like water!) to create a bow that is tied around our Grosgrain Ribbon that is attached to the top of the tag, and all of this is adhered to a piece of our Burlap Ribbon. Don't be scared to mix and match different textures!

You know me, I love my little 3 x 3" cards! And of course I have another one of those to share with you today! For this one I felt the stamp with the bird in the nest seemed appropriate. Using Basic Black ink I stamped the image directly on a 2 1/2" punched circle, the I decided to 'kick it up a notch'!  I stamped an additional bird, colored it with our Stampin' Write markers, hand cut it out and popped it up with a dimensional. I then hand cut some slight slivers of Crumb Cake and So Safron card stock, and balled it up and glued it down over the stamped nest to create a realistic one. My choice of adhesive for this task was our Multi-purpose Adhesive Glue, it goes on nice and dries clear! I felt the words needed a little something, something too so I stamped those on a separate piece of Whisper White cards stock and die cut it out using one of the Itty Bitty Framelits and popped that up on dimensionals as well.

Here's a close up of my little birdie and her nest. Don't be afraid to take a simple image and jazz it up!

Finally, the birdie on the mailbox stamp was calling my name. When I stamped this image I once again omitted the words like I did on the first project, and colored it using our fabulous Stampin' Write markers. I thought it would be fun to create mail for the mailbox. I cut out little 1" x 1 1/4" pieces of card stock then cut out and adhered triangles for the back envelope flap. Using the coordinating marker for each piece of card stock, I drew lines to finish off the look of the envelopes. I wanted to make this 'happy mail' so I stamped the little heart from the Just Sayin' stamp set on the back of each envelope and also on the mailbox, see it?

I hope you enjoyed my use of the For The Birds stamp set. Can you tell that I used the same color scheme for all my projects? Yep, a combination of Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe, Slate Gray, So Saffron and Pear Pizazz. And did you notice that I added a touch of Coastal Cabana on each project. Just a slight touch, but one that helped to tie all of them together! Sometimes I like to be sneaky like that! LOL
