Creation Station Blog Hop - Best Day Ever

Start of a new year means the start of a new series of blog hops! Woo Hoo! So happy to have you tuning into today. I hope your inspiration bucket gets filled to the rim from all of us here on The Creation Station Design Team!

For this time our options were -
  • Use the One Tag Fits All stamp set
  • Valentine themed projects
  • Use the Best Day Ever Sale-A-Bration stamp set
I had just put together my Best Day Ever set hours before finding out it was one of the choices this week, so I of course had to ink it up! It was fate after all right? (Either that or our faithful leader Jen is psychic!)

When I first saw the stamps in this set, I envisioned flowers - fun, twirly looking flowers. You could simply stamp the "x" shaped stamp once to achieve a simple flower, but if you stamp it twice like I did, you get more of a "fuller" bloom.  And the tiny heart stamp makes the perfect leaves for the flower stems don't you think?

And I couldn't resist adding a a bow in the upper left corner. It was super simple to make with our new Bow Builder Punch. OMG! I LOVE IT! I see lots and lots of bows in my stamping future!

I was staring at a bag of Hershey Kisses, when my next idea popped into my head. I thought it would be fun to make a cute tag using this set.

I stamped both hearts using Strawberry Slush ink in a pattern on a tag I punched out using the Note Tag punch. Sometimes when there are small stamps in a set, one way to put them to good use it is to create a pattern with them. Whether it be for a background or a focal point, stamps that might not jump out at you at first can become invaluable once you create a pattern with them. Give it a try, it will shed new light on perhaps some underutilized stamps you may have.

Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Jennifer's creativity or you can hop along to see what cleverness Jen has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!
