Just a friendly reminder that * * TOMORROW * * is the last day of Sale-A-Bration! For every $50 you purchase, you can choose one of 24 products for FREE! Yippee! With that announcement, I thought I would share a fun and quick card I made using one of those FREE products - the Best Day Ever stamp set. Like yesterday's card I shared with you, I opted to angle my layers of card stock on the front again just to make it a little different.
I love these little pinwheel flowers! Super fun and cute and takes only two stamps in that set to create them. I first stamped a flower on the large piece of Whisper White card stock then I stamped an additional flower on another piece of card stock and hand cut it out. I put a Dimensional on the back of the hand cut one and turned it slightly before adhering it down to give the flowers a little depth. Add a little Rhinestone to the center of each and you're done. Happy Stamping!

Can we say, BRRR! Yesterday our Easter Egg hunt was held outside and all the kids were bundled up like it was the middle of winter! I think it was the fastest hunt we've held cause everyone was ready to get back inside and warmed up. Now that our Easter Party is done, I just have to help the Easter Bunny finish up a couple of things before next weekend. But first, I took time to play along with the color challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary. These colors intrigued me!
I wanted to create a special card for a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I took this opportunity to use these colors as my jumping off point. I think it turned out cute! I used the "thinking of you" stamp from the Sheltering Tree set to stamp the background. I then used the Little Letters Thinlets to die cut out the words "Miss You" and backed it with piece of Soft Sky card stock to really make them 'pop' through the Rose Red card stock.
Can you guess where the little birdie is from? The Hey Valentine stamp set!! I told you that I have yet to make a valentine with that set! LOL I thought he would be cute standing there holding a single balloon from the Balloon Bash set. He and his balloon are popped up on Dimensionals for a little depth. Happy Stamping!

Today we are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and lunch for family so I've got lots to do! But first I wanted to share with you a card I had made for a dear friend of mine. I thought it would be fun to stamp the Hardwood Background stamp in a different color than normal. In this case, I chose to ink it up with Calypso Coral ink and stamped it on Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. When was the last time you saw pink wood? But it works right? So springy and feminine - LOVE it! I also roughed up the edges of the Crisp Cantaloupe card stock as well to give it a slightly worn look.
I added a few Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzazz punched out flowers from the Petite Petals set using the coordinating Petite Petals Punch (which is on sale until Tuesday by the way) to surround my sweet sentiment. Each flower has a touch of Dazzling Details in the center to add a little sparkle. I'm off to hide 138 candy filled eggs.....Happy Stamping!

Happy Friday! We were invited last weekend to a little one's first birthday party. This is the card I created for the special occasion. When looking at my stamps, my eyes fixed onto the cute little fox holding the number 1 from the Hey Valentine stamp set and a light bulb went off! The base of the card is a piece of Calypso Coral card stock that I textured with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder. I created a large number 1 out of Soft Sky card stock for the front of the card. Before I adhered it to the front, I stamped it with the 'Look who's turning' and little star stamps from the Hooray It's Your Day stamp set in Soft Sky ink. Inked up that cute little fox and used my Stampin' Write Markers to give him some color.
I even added a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter to his white fur for a little sparkle. I punched this cute tag out in no time at all using the coordinating Note Tag Punch. Normally, this is considered a valentine stamp, but I covered up those words and chose to use the 'Happy Birthday' from the Gifts of Kindness set instead. I just can't get enough of the Hey Valentine set! I've used it for everything BUT a valentine! Happy Stamping!

"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high....." Now that you are singing like Judy Garland, I thought I would share my rainbow inspired card today. It's all about bold, bright colors. Don't they just make you smile? The stamps are from the FREE Sale-A-Bration Big Day set. You can only get this set for seven more days so don't miss out on it! This one is going in my personal stash to continue using even after Sale-A-Bration. I used my 1" Circle Punch to create the splashy and colorful polka dot background. I used my Stampin' Write Markers to give the words some pizazz.
I also stamped an extra "Celebrate" on a piece of Pacific Point card stock, cut it out and popped it up with Dimensionals to give it depth. Add a few Rhinestones sprinkled around the card for some added bling and voila! a fun, colorful birthday card fit for any wizard. *wink wink* Happy Stamping!

I came across this fun site Stampin' Celebration that does inspiration and sketch challenges and I thought, "Why not?". I'm always up for trying new challenges, it helps to keep me on my toes with my stamping! What jumped out at me with these inspiration pictures were the greens, the color gold and the swerve of the green butterflies in the lower right picture. From these, I created this -
I kept the overall look simple and clean. I used the floral stem image from the World of Dreams stamp set to create my 'swerve of greens'. I added the color gold in two places. The first I added a large strip of our Gold Glimmer Paper peeking out from behind my main image on the left. And can you see the second? Maybe this will help -
The inside of the punched flowers also have tiny circles of our Gold Glimmer Paper. I punched them out using the Cupcake Builder Punch. These tiny touches of gold really stand out when seeing the card in person. Love it! Hope you enjoyed my new challenge today, I did! Happy Stamping!

I was looking at the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Best Day Ever and although it comes with one flower-ish stamp, I thought I would create my own flowers using the two heart stamps and the line stamp. Yep, I created a my own little heart flower garden! I used the dots stamp in the set to mimic a sky above the flowers using Soft Sky ink. This card was specifically made for a dear friend of mine who found out her cancer is back. I knew I wanted to incorporate pink on the card and I wanted her to know that I was here for her.
Here's the inside of the card before I personalized it. I wanted this card to contain as much love and good thoughts as it could for her. She's the best! Sale-A-Bration is ending in a few days, so if you want to recreate this card you have to take advantage of this fabulous promotion by the 31st! Happy Stamping!

What a wonderful day I had yesterday! I got to spend some much needed time back in my stamping place not only creating, but organizing and cleaning as well. It felt great and I felt accomplished! Woo hoo! I'm back again today playing with this sketch challenge from Create with Connie & Mary. I immediately knew I wanted to use the large blossom flower from the Flower Patch stamp set. That set was calling my name and soft colors were on my agenda!
I used the smaller flower from that set to create a fun background. And you knew I had to add a little sparkle by adding a Rhinestone to the center of each of those flowers. Ah yes, then came the lovely layered blossom. What a statement it makes! And by layered, I mean LAYERED -
Yep, I stamped and cut out the four different layers of this beautiful blossom! A little labor intensive, but oh so worth it! I added Dimensionals in between each layer to really give it depth. This card is so much prettier in person. I promise! LOVE it! Happy Stamping!

In the words of Britney Spears, "Oops, I did it again." My card was chosen as a Top 3 Pick for the color challenge over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. Woo Hoo! Super excited that they liked it so much!
In case you missed it, here's all the details for the card. Have a "stamperific" day!

Last week we attended our niece, Emily's birthday. You can more than likely guess what the theme was.....Frozen! Although she loves both girls, Elsa is her favorite. I took inspiration from Michelle Suit (Punch Art Queen herself - Love her!) with my Elsa inspired card. I used the retired Dress Form Framelits to create the majority of her dress. I free hand cut the vellum shirt and cape. I didn't have any snowflake stamps...go figure! So I used a flower from the Flower Patch set that closely resembled one and embossed it using our Silver Embossing Powder onto the two layer vellum cape.
I added our fabulous Dazzling Details all over the bodice of her dress and a single Rhinestone to give it lots of sparkle. The background was also fun to create. I used the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and applied Versamark directly to the inside of it on one side. Then turned it over and using my hands pressed onto the Whisper White card stock. I then Embossed it using our Silver Embossing Powder. It gave it just a little sheen that I was looking for. I then lightly sponged Pool Party ink over over the background to soften it.
Here's a peak of the inside before I personalized it. I used stamps from the Feel Goods and From the Heart sets and a strip of the background from the front of the card. This ended up being a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square card, so yes, it still fit in a regular envelope. This card took a little more time than usual to make, but she loved it so it was well worth it! Happy Stamping!

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's a little breezy, but the sun is shining so I'll take it! They are talking for some snow on Friday which I'm none too happy about, so today I'm going to enjoy the sunshine. I needed to make a get well card for my dear friend's teenage son who underwent surgery this week so I took my color cue from the color challenge over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
I first stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Sahara Sand on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then I took the leaf from World of Dreams set and stamped that in Sahara Sand and Wild Wasabi all over. Some at full strength and others I stamped off on scratch paper first to achieve various tones of the colors. I followed it up using different stamps from Gorgeous Grunge stamped with our Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The "GET WELL" is actually die cut out of that piece of Whisper White card stock using our fabulous Little Letters Thinlets. Love those! They are super versatile and you can create any word(s) you can think of on your paper crafting projects! I roughed up the edges of the stamped piece of card stock using my scissors to make it look a little more worn and rugged. I adhered the stamped Whisper White card stock onto a piece of Basic Black card stock to really let the words 'pop', then a strip of Sahara Sand card stock and finally the base is Wild Wasabi card stock. I added those same colors of punched out arrows onto the front drawing your attention to the words as well. I hope he does feel better soon! Happy Stamping!

Since I'm a little short on St. Patty's Day stamps, I figured I'd do a little punch art instead. I used the Sweetheart Punch and punched out eight Garden Green hearts to create a four leaf clover. I adhered four down completely to the Whisper White oval and the other four I folded in half then attached them directly on top of the others with a dimensional. By doing that it helps to give the clover some depth and a little "somethin' somethin'." And well, you knew I was going to sneak Gorgeous Grunge in there somewhere. Add three Rhinestones for bling and voila! a fun and easy St. Patty's Day card. Happy Stamping!

Time for another birthday in the family. This time my nephew Ben is turning 15. Happy Birthday buddy! Gosh, I remember when he was just born, picking him up from Pre-school and his love for Teletubbies when he was little. *sighs* Seems like yesterday. Life really needs to slow down!
I had some ink pads laying out on my table top that I had been using on other various projects and when I glanced at them I thought, "Oooooh, those are good boy colors!" I am in LOVE with this color combination of Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Whisper White and Smoky Slate. And since Ben likes to go paint balling, I thought it would be fun to use the splatter from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to mimic just that for the background. Too fun!
I really like the FREE Sale-A-Bration set, Big Day. I can see myself using it far passed the end of Sale-A-Bration. I love word stamps in general, and this one delivers! I also thought it would be fun to do a little paper-piercing and the circle mat from the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack made it super easy and quick.
And a sneak peek of the inside before I personalized it. Yep, the splatters continued in here as well on a narrow strip. Can't believe he'll be getting his permit soon. Seriously life, slow down! Happy Stamping!

With attending Leadership this year, anyone who knows me knows I am a picture taking machine at events like this. Okay. Okay. I take A LOT of pictures A LOT of the time no matter where I'm at! I confess! It's just something about catching moments and memories in life that intrigues me and makes me happy! You've seen pics highlighting the trip, and you've seen all the "pillow gifts" I made for Kelli (Hi again girlie!), and now you get to see the fun card I made her that accompanied two cd's of all the pics I took. Thought she would enjoy having all 437 pictures as much as me! LOL (Yes, I took that many photos in 5 days.)
I modeled the card after the bags we were given. Remember this pic -
The bag is on the left hand side. And you may not know but the inside of our bags was a wonderful Coastal Cabana color! So I had to mimic that too! Here's the inside of the card -
Complete with pocket and Stampin' Up logo tag! Oh, sometimes I just have to chuckle at myself for what comes out of my creative mind! LOL This concludes my Leadership wrap up! Happy Stamping!
