Color Challenge 18

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's a little breezy, but the sun is shining so I'll take it! They are talking for some snow on Friday which I'm none too happy about, so today I'm going to enjoy the sunshine. I needed to make a get well card for my dear friend's teenage son who underwent surgery this week so I took my color cue from the color challenge over at

I first stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Sahara Sand on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then I took the leaf from World of Dreams set and stamped that in Sahara Sand and Wild Wasabi all over. Some at full strength and others I stamped off on scratch paper first to achieve various tones of the colors. I followed it up using different stamps from Gorgeous Grunge stamped with our Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The "GET WELL" is actually die cut out of that piece of Whisper White card stock using our fabulous Little Letters Thinlets. Love those! They are super versatile and you can create any word(s) you can think of on your paper crafting projects! I roughed up the edges of the stamped piece of card stock using my scissors to make it look a little more worn and rugged. I adhered the stamped Whisper White card stock onto a piece of Basic Black card stock to really let the words 'pop', then a strip of Sahara Sand card stock and finally the base is Wild Wasabi card stock. I added those same colors of punched out arrows onto the front drawing your attention to the words as well. I hope he does feel better soon! Happy Stamping!
