Creation Station Blog Hop - Baby

Nope, it can't be March 1st already can it?!? Anybody else feel that way? Where is the time going? Thanks for dropping in today! We here on The Creation Station team appreciate and love it when you stop by and check out the projects we create for our blog hops. We hope you go away feeling inspired to create your own works of art!

For this time our options were -
  • Use the Little Sunshine stamp set
  • Use the Simply Wonderful Sale-A-Bration stamp set
  • Baby themed projects
I thought it would be fun to make a baby themed project. I haven't made one of those in a while, so I was up for the challenge!

I wanted to create more of a modern and trendy baby card instead of the traditional pink and blue. I took my color choices from the Moonlight Designer Series featured on the lower part of the card. In this case they included: Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Whisper White and Blackberry Bliss. I also thought it would be fun to change it up a bit and create a tri-fold card.

Here you can see the top flap flipped up and open. That flap was being held closed by the large Vintage Faceted Button. It carefully and simply was tucked behind it. The sun shape was created using the Scallop Circle punch. I punched it like usual, then reinsert it back in and rotated it slightly and punched again.

Flip open the last flap and voila! Here is the card all the way open. (And by the way, when this card is closed it does fit in a regular size envelope. From the bottom of the card to the top of the sun shape it measures 5 1/2" just like a regular card.)

It not only reveals an area to write your personal message, but also a little Blackberry Bliss cardstock pocket I created to hold a gift card. It's a card and gift all in one! The words are from the Something To Say stamp set. I found them just perfect for this project!

I hope you enjoyed the different fold I did on the project today. I will be using it my upcoming Fun & Fancy Folds class.  Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Jennifer's sensational creativity or you can hop along to see what cleverness Deborah has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!
