Creation Station Blog Hop - Crazy About You

Welcome back to another round of The Creation Station Blog Hop! I love it when you stop by every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month to see what everyone has created. And I LOVE to be challenged with our fabulous products!

For this time our options were -
  • Use the Crazy About You stamp set/bundle
  • Use Chalkboard Paper
  • Graduation themed projects
Graduation project...yeah! I needed a graduation card!
First up I had to share with you this cute graduation card I made for my nephew who will be graduating high school next month. I chose his school colors of Real Red and Basic Black and kept it more on the masculine side since I knew exactly who it was going to. I used the Crazy About You stamp set to create the fun "Happy Graduation" background. I love it when you can use either words or images and make your own DSP. I created the motorboard using a couple of punches and freehand cutting to get it just right.

It's a little hard to tell, but I added Crystal Effects to the word "you" to make it look like enamel. In person, the effect is awesome! And it took longer to dry than to actually do, so no problems there. The "you" is part of the Hello You Thinlets that you can get as a bundle or separate with the Crazy About You stamp set. They coordinate wonderfully!

I attended a bridal shower yesterday and the weather was a sunny 76 degrees, so I couldn't help but spread a little of that sunshine on this simple, but colorful card. This time I highlighted the flower and leaves that come in the Crazy About You stamp set. I used 'masking' to help create the depth of the leaves and flowers. By keeping the images on the lower part of the card, it reminds of a flower garden. Once again I used the thinlets, this time with "hello" and a coordinating word in the set, "sunshine".

I LOVE the versatility of this stamp set and thinlets! So many options!  Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Heidi's sensational creativity or you can hop along to see what cleverness Justin has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!

  1. Great cards! I like the words used as background very effective. And I love your spring flowers. So pretty!

  2. Your projects are always so inspiring!!
