Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny filled your basket to the rim! Thanks for stopping by today on such a special occasion.
For this time our options were -
- Use the Butterfly Basics stamp set
- Use the Berry Basket die
- Spring themed projects
I was thrilled to see the theme of this week's hop - SPRING! I can't tell you how I have been anticipating this season especially after the bitter cold winter we've had here. And of course the Berry Basket die is just too cute not to share an idea with it!
I whipped up this Bermuda Bay with Whisper White trim Berry Basket in no time at all. I stamped the large flower from the Crazy About You stamp set found in the Occasions Catalog with Calypso Coral ink. Between you and me, this stamp set is a MUST! So many wonderful words and phrases (including the one I used above), and if you get it in photopolymer it's super duper easy to line them all up! I used the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch to punch it out. I actually stamped 3 of the flowers; one I punched the full blossom, the other two I hand cut smaller inside layers of the blossom and layered upon themselves with Dimensionals to give it lots of depth. The leaves are also from that set, and those I "fussy cut" out. I like the look they added, so it was worth it! The cute tag is from the One Tag Fits All set that also was punched out using its coordinating punch. While the flower and leaves are attached to the basket with Dimensionals, I used one of our super cute Mini Clothespins to hold the tag in place.
This fun little 3 x 3" card is a great sidekick to the basket of goodies. I used all the same colors: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Pear Pizazz and Calypso Coral to coordinate along with it's gift. I thought I would be a little different and add my greeting as a fun border around the main flower. Love the unexpected! Again, I stamped, punched and hand cut three flowers to create the multiple layers of the flower.
And here they are together! What a great little gift for a friend, co-worker, teacher, anyone really! Who wouldn't love receiving this this spring?! Depending on where you started on this blog hop, you can go back and revisit Jennifer's sensational creativity or you can hop along to see what cleverness Deborah has to share with you today! Happy Stamping!
