Happy Easter!

Since I had a blog hop on Easter Sunday (which I hope you enjoyed all the wonderful ideas!), I thought I would wait and show the Easter card I created until today. So traditional with the idea of an Easter egg, but nontraditional in how it was created. I was inspired by a card I saw by Janet Holmes. I changed the colors and added the flowers to give it my own personal spin on it.

I first die cut a large oval using the Oval Framelits out of a piece of Whisper White card stock. I then textured it using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. Added Dimensionals onto the back of this card stock and set it aside.  Next I took an additional piece of Whisper White card stock and using the large brush swipe stamp from the Work of Art stamp set, stamped it in Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry and Pool Party inks. I then adhered the card stock with the oval die cut out of it and placed it over the piece I stamped with the colorful swipes. Voila! an instant colored Easter egg! Add a couple of punched flowers and leaves, a greeting, pearl and linen thread bow and you're done. LOVE it! Happy Stamping!
