Stamping For The Cure

I belong to an online group, Cards For The Cure Of Happiness, who send cards to those dealing with cancer. This cause hit close to home as both my mom and mother-in-law are breast cancer survivors. Sending a card and letting that person know that someone is thinking of them is a simple gesture, but one that hopefully will lift them up during their hard journey.

This was the card I recently sent out to a handful of people who are on the list. I die cut a square out of the Whisper White card stock using our Square Framelits. That made it easy to wrap the Pear Pizazz Cotton Ribbon around the card stock and knot it on the front. Using our Black Memento ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer set. I then took a piece of the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum (one of the fabulous freebies from Sale-A-Bration) and colored on the backside of the design using Hello Honey, Pear Pizazz and Pumpkin Pie markers. I attached it on the back of the die cut opening using Snail Adhesive and then backed it with a piece of Whisper White card stock to really make the colors "pop". Add a layer of Hello Honey and Pear Pizazz card stock and this card is complete!

I encourage you to take some time today to make a card for someone that needs a little uplifting. Happy Stamping!
