Creation Station Blog Hop - All Things Shiny & New!

It's a brand new year and that means a new Occasions catalog containing NEW TOYS to play with! Woo Hoo! For my pick this month I chose a new photopolymer Project Life stamp set called Memories In The Making

What a fun set right? I see lots of potential! Over the holidays an engagement was announced for a family member. So happy and excited for them! While talking to his future bride, she was thinking of maybe doing olive green, blush pink and small accents of gold for their wedding colors. My mind immediately went to Old Olive, Blushing Bride (I know right?!) and our Gold Glimmer paper. And what shall appear? But this card I am sending them congratulating them on their big news.

It was fun to play with this color combination. And just like she described, I added just a 'touch of gold' here and there. First the strip along the left side, the small heart on the Baker's Twine bow, and finally the edge of the Window Sheet strip that I embossed the word "love" on from Watercolor Words set.

Depending on where you started on our hop you can either go back and see what creative genius Julie has for you or you can move along to see what awesome stamping skills Jen has to share with you today. Happy Stamping!
