Getting Fruity

It's Thursday! Time for sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary. When I first saw it, it made me think of fruit. Crazy I know! But I really love our stamp set Apple of My Eye and this sketch gave me a reason to keep it on my desk. *wink wink*

I thought a nice little gathering of a pear, apple and orange would be just right and it also lended itself towards a bold color selection. Colors chosen for this project are Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizazz, Early Espresso and Whisper White. The "Thanks" is from the Starburst Sayings stamp set. After stamping it, I hand cut it out instead of using a punch to give it a little more character and so it wouldn't cover any of the fruit too much. The cute saying, "you're the sweetest" is stamped in Real Red ink on the piece of Real Red card stock for a tone on tone look. Subtle, with a hint of whimsy.

Thanks for stopping by today! I am having so much fun creating with this great group of talented ladies! I hope you will play along with this fun sketch challenge this week too. I'd love to see your work! Happy Stamping!
