Isn't it funny how when you see colors, images suddenly 'pop' into your head? At least for us stampers they do! These three colors immediately brought to mind dirt, sky and grass. Crazy I know right?!
Well, I went with my inclination and voila! a mountainous forest scene was created! The clouds, mountains and trees where created using the new Outdoor Adventure Framelits. These coordinate perfectly with the Always An Adventure set that features the fun little bear I used. This scene with the bear also reminds me of a show I used to watch on Sundays when I was a kid - Grizzly Adams. I loved coming home from church, changing our clothes and sitting down to watch it. After that was Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Growing up with only 3 channels, and yes, on a console tv that you had to get up to turn the dial and sometimes the antenna too!, the lot of us divulged ourselves in the shows we watched. We'd love for you to join us this week and show off your stamping talents with this great color combination over at Create With Connie & Mary. Happy Stamping!

Back for another challenge over at Create With Connie & Mary! This really is a GREAT group of talented stampers! I am so blessed to be a part of their wonderful team. When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use for the main focal point. Love it when an idea strikes you that fast!
Oh yes, this wonderful globe from the Places You'll Go stamp set was calling my name! I decided to make it into a "shaker globe". Underneath the Window Sheet is the 'ball' stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and sponged with Soft Sky ink. I stamped and cut out the airplane that is also from that set and popped it up on a itty bitty dimensional. Then I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and hand drew the planes path. Finally I topped it off with a sprinkling of confetti from our Metallics Sequin Assortment. This set is so versatile with the greetings and images it includes! This one will get some definite miles put on it - love it! Happy Stamping!

Happy Thursday stamping friends! Today's project is brought to you by the color challenge over at Create With Connie & Mary. Did I not just sound like the narrator on Sesame Street at the beginning of the show? Ha Ha!
I thought I would highlight some of our fabulous new detailed thinlets offered in the new catalog. The flowers and leaves are part of the Flourish Thinlets. Isn't the intricate die cutting just fabulous? The greeting is from the new set, Layering Love. I have this quote on one of my favorite pictures of Jack I took when he was younger hanging in my downstairs bathroom, so when I saw it in the catalog, I knew it was a must get! I added 5 pearls (all three sizes) arched around the upper right corner of the quote to help balance those in the center of the flowers. I hope you join us this week with this awesome color challenge. Happy Stamping!

Happy Fourth of July weekend my stamping friends! What a wonderful time to celebrate our country - the freedoms it allows us and the opportunities it provides us. This month's blog hop is focused on "Gifts From The Garden", whether it be a fruit and vegetable garden or a flower garden, nature provides so many wonderful things.
One of my favorite fruits is strawberries. I could seriously eat them everyday. When I saw them highlighted in the new Fresh Fruit stamp set, I knew it was a must have! Stamped in Real Red and Cucumber Crush, they have such a fun whimsical appeal to them.
Along with the card, I created a fun little jar filled with sweet treats. The "thanks so much" is from the fun stamp set, B.Y.O.P. and stamped with our Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad.
I incorporated our fabulous Whisper White Baker's Twine once again (like I did on the card) by wrapping it around the lid and tying it in bow. Notice the fun lace below the lid? That's our fabulous new Delicate White Doilies! They are smaller than our previous ones, but just as simply sweet!
I thought they helped to create a soft and pretty touch to the boldness of the metal. The fun tag was stamped using the Sunbursts Sayings stamp set and hand cut out. You can see the fun treats inside the jar a little better - individually wrapped strawberry hard candies! I love it when the packaging and card match the gift!
I hope you enjoyed the garden inspired gift ensemble. Depending on where you started on our hop you can either go back and see Jen's creativity or you can move along to see Elizabeth's inspiration. Happy Stamping!
