Anybody else remember that song? Had it in my head the other day as I was doing some stamping, so of course I just HAD TO apply it to this week's sketch challenge over at Create With Connie & Mary! I've said it once, and I'll say it again, "Inspiration is everywhere!" *wink wink*
I used the largest basket in the new Basket of Wishes stamp set that's in the Holiday catalog and filled it with a bunch of fall flowers. Fall is my favorite season. I could bask in it's glory all year round! *wink wink* I used Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizazz, Wild Wasabi and Pool Party Stampin' Write Markers to give it its fall colors. And of course what bird is showcased during the fall time? A crow of course! This sweet little guy is from the Cooke-Cutter Halloween stamp set also featured in the Holiday catalog. Add a few Crumb Cake splatters from my favorite Gorgeous Grunge set to really set off the focal points. I welcome you to play along with us this week. We'd LOVE to see your creativity in action! Happy Stamping!

Today's colors got in me in the mood for cheery, happy, summery things. Unfortunately the weather we've been having lately, severe heat and thunderstorms galore, took those feelings right out the door and inspired me to create this card instead -
Funny how life can dictate things! These colors lended themselves perfectly to show off the A Little Foxy DSP, especially the Pool Party paper with the white rain drops. Perfect for this card! The Weather Together stamp set and coordinating framelits captured just the right mood I was going for with the gray skies that have been popping up in my neck of the woods. The Whisper White card layer is actually popped up using Dimensionals to really help give the clouds and raindrops depth. We'd love for you to play along with our color challenge this week over at Create With Connie & Mary! Happy Stamping!

Happy Thursday everyone! I am happy to be back on the Design Team this week. I had a rather unfortunate and expensive misfortune happen two weeks ago. I went to turn on my laptop and got nothing but a black screen with a cursor up in the corner blinking. Talk about having your heart skip some beats! Needless to say, my hard drive had crashed. Gulp! I did some computer shopping and then finally when I got a new one had to wait and see if the computer gods could transfer my old information onto my new one. Took just over 3 days to do so! The man said it was a 'tricky endeavor'. So although I haven't had time to really play with it and personalize it, I'm just glad to be connected again to the world! So, HELLO WORLD! I've missed you! *smiles*
I decided to really go outside the box with my idea this week. I didn't take the different DSP shapes literally, instead I went figuratively and used four die cut leaves from the Flourish Thinlets in Garden Green, Mint Macaron and Old Olive for my shapes. The cute little frog is from our hostess set, Love You Lots and stamped onto Cucumber Crush and Whisper White card stock and paper-pieced together. The 'grateful' greeting is from the Acorny Thank You stamp set and embossed using Versamark and White Embossing Powder to really make it stand out on the Early Espresso card stock. Happy Stamping!

Well, it's here - August that is. Jack starts school on the 17th which I think is crazy! I don't think school should start until after Labor Day. I'm not ready to give up my summer with him! But alas, I have to make these last 9 days count then don't I?
This month's blog hop is themed around "Get Well". So many wonderful stamps could be used for this theme! I chose to focus on a few new ones highlighted in our new catalog.
First up is this fun shaker card I created using the new Brushwork Alphabet stamp set. I am in LOVE with this photopolymer set. The font is just gorgeous! Think of all the words, names, quotes, etc. you could put on your projects with this one set. You can spell anything! I paired it with one of the new hostess sets, Lots of Love. These cute little ladybug friends caught my eye immediately in the catalog. I paper pieced them - meaning, I stamped them using our Tuxedo Black ink once on Whisper White card stock and once on Real Red card stock. Cut out the entire image on the white and only their bodies on the red then adhered them on. It really makes them "pop" in person. The background is stamped using Pool Party ink on Pool Party card stock with the wonderful new flourish stamp from the Flourishing Phrases set. Again, a "must have set"! I punched lots of Real Red hearts using the Heart Border Punch as my little shakers. Just a fun card to send any friend who needs a little 'pick me up'.
I hope you enjoyed both cards today. I am so happy you 'hopped' on by! Depending on where you started on our hop you can either go back and see Julie's inspirational creations or you can move along to see Kimberly's creative genius. Happy Stamping!
