Connected Again!...and Back With A Frog!

Happy Thursday everyone! I am happy to be back on the Design Team this week. I had a rather unfortunate and expensive misfortune happen two weeks ago. I went to turn on my laptop and got nothing but a black screen with a cursor up in the corner blinking. Talk about having your heart skip some beats! Needless to say, my hard drive had crashed. Gulp! I did some computer shopping and then finally when I got a new one had to wait and see if the computer gods could transfer my old information onto my new one. Took just over 3 days to do so! The man said it was a 'tricky endeavor'. So although I haven't had time to really play with it and personalize it, I'm just glad to be connected again to the world! So, HELLO WORLD! I've missed you! *smiles*

I decided to really go outside the box with my idea this week. I didn't take the different DSP shapes literally, instead I went figuratively and used four die cut leaves from the Flourish Thinlets in Garden Green, Mint Macaron and Old Olive for my shapes. The cute little frog is from our hostess set, Love You Lots and stamped onto Cucumber Crush and Whisper White card stock and paper-pieced together. The 'grateful' greeting is from the Acorny Thank You stamp set and embossed using Versamark and White Embossing Powder to really make it stand out on the Early Espresso card stock. Happy Stamping!

  1. Love how you interpreted the layers!!! Wish I would have thought of that...wanted to change my card after I saw yours! LOVE the bright colors against the black background, too! Welcome back to the computer world...I've had that happen...not a fun experience at all!

  2. Cute!!! These are colors that I would not normally put together, but they look amazing on this card! What a fun, clever take on the sketch!

  3. This is cute! I love that you used the framelits instead of DSP to pull off the sketch. What a fun card!

  4. I love the clever way you interpreted the sketch and the leaves look great behind your cute frog and quite dramatic against the dark background. So glad you managed to sort - and rescue - your computer data, we are so reliant on them these days!
