Well, it's here - August that is. Jack starts school on the 17th which I think is crazy! I don't think school should start until after Labor Day. I'm not ready to give up my summer with him! But alas, I have to make these last 9 days count then don't I?
This month's blog hop is themed around "Get Well". So many wonderful stamps could be used for this theme! I chose to focus on a few new ones highlighted in our new catalog.
First up is this fun shaker card I created using the new Brushwork Alphabet stamp set. I am in LOVE with this photopolymer set. The font is just gorgeous! Think of all the words, names, quotes, etc. you could put on your projects with this one set. You can spell anything! I paired it with one of the new hostess sets, Lots of Love. These cute little ladybug friends caught my eye immediately in the catalog. I paper pieced them - meaning, I stamped them using our Tuxedo Black ink once on Whisper White card stock and once on Real Red card stock. Cut out the entire image on the white and only their bodies on the red then adhered them on. It really makes them "pop" in person. The background is stamped using Pool Party ink on Pool Party card stock with the wonderful new flourish stamp from the Flourishing Phrases set. Again, a "must have set"! I punched lots of Real Red hearts using the Heart Border Punch as my little shakers. Just a fun card to send any friend who needs a little 'pick me up'.
I hope you enjoyed both cards today. I am so happy you 'hopped' on by! Depending on where you started on our hop you can either go back and see Julie's inspirational creations or you can move along to see Kimberly's creative genius. Happy Stamping!
Jennifer: I love your Flourishing Phrases card--the colors are wonderful together! xoKathyxo
