Sweet As Honey

It's supposed to be about a 10-12 degree difference from yesterday to today. Ah yes, Mother Nature is a force to be reckoned with. I will held up in my stamp room all day trying to feverishly finish getting 121 total projects cut, prepped and ready for this weekend's two big stamping events. Yep, for one project alone I had to cut and die cut 270 pieces of card stock. Gulp! I see a new blade (or two) being put on my paper trimmer before it's all said and done! Wish me luck!

Today's color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary had me whipping out the fun Bear Hugs stamp set. I chose to stamp the honey pot on a diagonal (yes, I eyeballed all of them) for a fun background. Mr. Bear is sporting his Emerald Envy green bow tie. Doesn't he look dapper? The Delightful Dijon circle behind him is sponged with Delightful Dijon ink to give it a slightly different shade. After stamping the saying I hand cut it out and made it into a picket sign. A little hard to see, but I also wrapped three strands of Linen Thread around the background. Then using my Paper Piercer, I pulled the strands all apart until it looked like a fluff. Love the different texture it gives the card. I hope you will join us this week and play along. Happy Stamping!

  3. Perfect colors for a honey bear! Love the background paper you created with the honey pots. Love the little bits of green...it's an overwhelming color, but you used it very tastefully!

  4. Wow! Love the DSP you made with the honey jars. So cute and clever and impressive that you did it without a stamp positioner.
