Feeling Kind of "Purple-y"

When I saw the sketch challenge this week at Create with Connie and Mary, I told myself that I needed to use colors I hadn't used in a while. When I was staring at my glorious, colorful ink pads I decided that I would choose two and that they had to be of the same color tones. Hence, I decided to feel a little "purple-y" today!

I decided upon Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum as the main colors and Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black to compliment them. The balloon and greeting are from from the Celebrate Today set. The swirls are from Swirly Bird, the splatter is from Gorgeous Grunge and the stars are from Perpetual Birthday Calendar. Yes, quite a few sets went into the making of this card. I couldn't help myself! I added a strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to break up the different hues of color and add a bit of sparkle. What a playful card it turned out to be! I encourage you to play along and to create a project with colors that you haven't used in a while. You might just be surprised of the outcome! Happy Stamping!

  4. Purple is one of my favourite colours - but not one I often use on cards! This is just great - I love the colours and the different patterns and textures, how nice to ring the changes once in a while!

  5. Purple tends to be one of my more neglected colors, but your card packs a ton of inspiration for me! I love the swirly flower bottom border. You've woven together three separate sets into one perfect card. That takes some skill, girl, and you've got it!!!!
