Oh, Gingerbread Boy!

Welcome to December! Hard to believe that we are nearing the end of another year. Time seems to go by so quickly! I, like many of you I am sure, have dove into Christmas decorating, music and shopping. In fact, yesterday I went up to Harrisburg, PA to the Pennsylvania Christmas & Gift Show. Literally hundreds of booths set up and filled with glorious things to purchase. Talk about eye candy! It takes hours upon hours to walk through it all. Let's just say I walked off my lunch before I even ate it!

When I saw this week's sketch challenge I knew immediately I wanted to do a shaker card! I carefully cut out a small house from the Candy Cane Lane DSP and mounted it onto a square of confetti DSP from the same pack. I then added a small strip of Whisper White card stock and hand cut  a snowbank for the house to sit in. I added a few little Christmas cookie sprinkles and then topped it off with a Real Red scallop frame I created using our fabulous Layering Squares Framelits backed with a piece of Window Sheet. It's cute to see the sprinkles shaking around the little gingerbread house.  I used the Candy Cane Christmas set for the words and candy canes. My cute gingerbread boy is from the Cookie Cutter Christmas set. Don't both sets work so well together? Love it! We hope you'll play along with us this week at Create with Connie and Mary. Don't forget to stop by and see what the rest of the Design Team created. Happy Stamping!
