Raining Hearts
Well, we made it through Jack's first 2-hour school delay of the season yesterday morning due to ice. We are supposed to get some more mixed precipitation Saturday into Sunday. Yeah for winter, right? Well, I decided to not let that hinder my creativity and instead think happy thoughts when creating my project for this week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.
I was in the mood for hearts. Hearts make everyone happy right? The Weather Together stamp set was perfect for this occasion! I paper pieced the umbrella to shield off those whimsical raining hearts. I also decided to add punched hearts using the Owl Builder punch that I adhered along the left side to help create balance. A simple, yet fun card to chase away the winter blues. Happy Stamping!

We are certainly needing your umbrella inspiration around here! Ice and rain and more ice. I'd take snow over the ice any day! Love the raining hearts! Such a sweet card! Great job with the color challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of spring! Love the little hearts raining down.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely and such a happy feeling card! 😊
ReplyDeleteIce is so hard to deal with! We've had tons and tons of snow and frigid temps here in my corner of the world, but currently we're on a warm up trend. I hope that doesn't mean ice for us....it's terrible to deal with! I feel for you guys! Anyway, awesome card this week. The layout is so cool! I love the red strip on the top and bottom of the base.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I was just talking about how we do not use our sets from the annual catalog enough. Totally inspired by your card.
