Halloween Comes In All Colors, Right?
It's been one of those weeks. Found out over the weekend mom needed to have major surgery Monday morning. Docs said it would be about a 6-7 hour surgery. I'm 927 miles away, needless to say that was a long day of waiting for the the outcome. Thankfully, it went well. She'll be there for 3 or 4 days before being transferred to a rehab place for a good bit. But thank the Lord, she is still with us and hopefully she won't be in as much pain anymore. Then Jack came home from school Tuesday with a stuffy/runny nose, and of course it was picture day yesterday. Hoping his nose wasn't red in the photo! School pictures cost an arm and a leg now compared to the standard $9.99 package my mom used to always get us back in the day. And THEN I found out our credit card had been hacked and there were charges on there we didn't make. So after phone calls, and cancellations, I am hoping (keeping fingers crossed) that is straightened out some and that our new cards and numbers will arrive in a week. What a pain! Aagghh!
So now let's talk about something more on a happy note - stamping! That always takes the stresses away! The color challenge was a little troubling for me this week, but then I decided to just go non-traditional Halloween with it. Why not, right? The Spooky Cat stamp set was still on my countertop so I decided to ink up the witch's hat. It's a little hard to tell, but I stamped the greeting from the Labels of Love set two different times; one in Tangerine Tango ink and the other in Soft Sky. Punched them both out using the new Everyday Label punch. Then I took my x-acto knife and carefully cut out the center of the Soft Sky punched piece and attached that over a punched piece of Window Sheet that was attached on top of the Tangerine Tango greeting. So basically, the greeting is a 3 layer sandwich. Here's hoping next week is better! Happy Stamping!
