Happy Thanksgiving my stamping friends! I am thankful for each and every one of you that stop by and check out my stamped creations. Growing up, it was always tradition to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I've continued that tradition with my son, Jack. From the balloons, to the floats and the performances, it's fun to watch and a wonderful way to spend time together on this special day.
Inspired by this tradition, I inked up the balloons from the Lift Me Up set in this week's fabulous color challenge. Too fun, right? The balloons and words are popped up on dimensionals. It's a little hard to tell, but I added Wink of Stella in the white areas of both balloons to add some sparkle. The clouds are stamped in two different colors to add whimsy and movement across the card. And if all those colors of inks and shapes of card stocks weren't enough, I thought I'd add a little more texture with the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder on the Whisper White card stock. This card just makes me smile, just like the parade. I hope you have a fabulous day spent with those you love! Happy Stamping!

Inspired by famous painter, Bob Ross I was in the mood for some "happy little trees" this week. I fully admit that I would tune in from time to time over the years to watch him transform blank canvases into masterpieces. He made it look so easy, didn't he?
These trees are from the Foxy Friends stamp set. I inked one in Wild Wasabi ink and the other in Lemon Lime Twist. I thought Island Indigo and Crumb Cake paired nicely with these two shades of green. Notice the pattern going across the piece of Whisper White card stock? It's actually the 'face' stamp in that same set. By stamping it repeatedly on it's side, it adds a modern twist to the background. The words are from the Colorful Seasons set. Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you check out the other fabulous creations at Create with Connie and Mary. Happy Stamping!

Happy Thursday my stamping friends! It's been a little bit of a cold week here on the East Coast. Brrr! But that's okay because this week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary got me in the mood for some flowers. Flowers you say? Yep! and not your traditional colored ones either.
I thought it would be fun to ink up the flower in the Painted Harvest set with Night of Navy ink and add Powder Pink centers. So, not what you would think off the bat, but in real life, they are pretty! To fill in all the spaced around the flowers, I used Pool Party ink and stamped the skeleton leaf at half strength and the dots at full strength from that set as well. Then I sponged even more Pool Party ink over all that space too. It seriously looks like it could be a pillowcase or printed bed sheet. Using the coordinating Leaf Punch, I punched out three of them in Pool Party card stock and sponged Pool Party ink all over to give them a little more depth. I wrapped two strands of our fabulous 3/8" Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon around the front. Not only does it help break up the design of the flowers but adds some subtle sparkle too. This is so not your traditional colored flower card, and I like it! Happy Stamping!

Happy Thursday! Well, Halloween is over. It was a busy three nights that we trick-or-treated with various family and friends. Jack enjoyed it all! So happy to see him enjoy the holiday. =) I'm still in pumpkin and fall mode. With the weather, we have the majority of trees that have yet to change color. I'm not feeling Christmas just yet...it's too soon!
I decided to ink up the sunflower and pumpkins stamp from the At Home With You stamp set. Our Stampin' Write markers in Crushed Curry, Early Esprsso, Old Olive and Island Indigo makes for a quick addition of color. I love this quote from the Layering Love stamp set. It can take on many intentions. In this instance, gratefulness. There is always something to be thankful for, right? The little spark on the Crumb Cake card stock is actually a flower stamen from the Colorful Seasons set. I thought it was abstract enough to add visual interest to the background. Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out all the other fabulous design team member's creations at Create with Connie and Mary. And then play along with our sketch! Happy Stamping!
