Sending JOY

Eleven days and counting. Anybody else hear the Jaw's theme song in your head right now when I said that? Good lord, that's what it feels like this year! But with today's sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary, I thought I would share with you a quick and easy Christmas card that can be made in a matter of minutes for those last minute people on your list.

Using the Large Letter framelits and Swirly Scribble thinlets, I created the word "JOY" out of Real Red and Early Espresso card stock. With the Leaf punch and 1/2" Circle punch, I then created the little holly that I attached onto the wreath shape. I added Wink of Stella to the berries to give him a little shine. "Merry Christmas" is from the At Home with You stamp set and inked up with Early Espresso ink. Add a little Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Garden Green card stock and voila! a festive holiday card at your finger tips. Happy stamping!

Simple Swirly Bird

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..." inside and out here at our place. I was thigh high deep in boxes last week. When you have a little one that is super excited for Christmas and the entire spirit it brings; one must put aside their creativity making (i.e. stamping) and get the house and yard decorated! We are ready and waiting for the big guy to arrive! Still have lots and lots of shopping to do this week and next. One thing at a time I remind myself. Decorations done....check!

Even though the house and yard are screaming Christmas, my card went a whole other avenue with this week's color challenge. I needed a sweet but simple thank you card so I pulled out my Swirly Bird and Rose Wonder stamp sets and inked them up. Add a few punched leaves, rhinestones and voila! an nice and quick card all ready to send. Hope your holiday season is off to a great start! Happy Stamping!
