It's the start of a brand new year, and with it comes new challenges, new memories, and a newfound hope in all things. It's like spring cleaning for the soul really. Time to set new goals for myself, personally and professionally. Time to let go of things that have no real purpose. Time to focus on what makes me and my family happy. For a month now, I've been telling myself to simplify my life. Chaos and I don't play nice in the sandbox. I love organization. So I've set my first goal for myself, to go through everything in my house over the next three months. Every drawer, every cabinet, every nook and cranny room by room and get rid of the things that no longer serve a purpose. I work better with simplicity and organization.
Also with the new year, we are welcoming new blog hop ideas and some new design team members! Their creativity is crazy awesome!?! So looking forward to continue sharing ideas with this fabulous group of stampers! This month's theme is "Color My World." One can interpret that in so many ways. I personally thought it would be fun to use colors I typically don't use together.
With the upcoming Valentine holiday, I thought it would be fun to make love inspired projects. I inked up images from the Message In A Bottle and Foxy Friends stamp sets using a combination of Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, and Basic Black inks. Fun color combination right? I thought so. I even added some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper circles that I punched out using the Holly Berry Builder Punch to mimic bubbles.
One cannot do Valentine's Day without chocolate. They go together like Batman and Robin, Bert and Ernie, or Laverne and Shirley. You get the point. So I whipped up this cute little sleeve that holds two mini Snickers candy bars nice and snug in it. I simply took the measurements of the candy then formulated that onto card stock. Two cuts and four score lines later, voila! In fact, they were so quick and easy to make, that I made two!
I brushed over the bottle using the ever so fabulous Wink of Stella. Love the shine it gives! I'm so glad you stopped by today. Want to see more ideas using color? Hop along to Elizabeth. She's a pretty rockin' gal with creative genius! Happy Stamping!
