I am knee deep in preparations for a baby shower I am co-hosting at my house this weekend. Besides cleaning and prepping the house, I am making all the decorations as well. Even though there is always a lot of work, I enjoy throwing a good party and decorating each one with a theme. From large wall decorations to table top decor to favors, I try to coordinate it all. The theme I am going with for the baby shower is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star since the couple doesn't know what they are having, I thought that was pretty gender neutral.
But enough about that, let's get to this week's sketch challenge. Instead of doing three individual things (the stars), I decided to create a scene with three images instead. I pulled out the Pieces and Patterns and In The City stamp sets and decided to have the cute little bear in the woods. Where else would he be right? Ha! Colors I used for all the inks and card stock were Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Lemon Lime Twist, Emerald Envy, and Basic Black. For the stripes, I actually cut individual strips and adhered them onto the larger piece of Emerald Envy. I hope you are having a fabulous day! Happy Stamping!

Word on the street is that I'm getting another year older on Saturday. I will be officially entering another decade. Hoping this one is my best one yet! In honor of my special day, I figured a birthday card was in order for this week's color challenge.
I love the Magical Day stamp set and thought the dragon was perfect for the Old Olive color. I used both shades of the Old Olive Stampin' Blends to give this guy some personality. Other stamp sets I used are Number of Years for the "Happy Birthday" stamped in Memento Black ink and In The City for the "Happy Birthday" stamped in Old Olive ink.
A little hard to tell but I brushed on Wink of Stella onto the three white sparkles and on the darker parts of the dragon and his flame to give him a little character. This is one of the last cards I'll be making as a 30 something. I'm embracing the new decade and looking forward to all it has to offer. Happy Stamping!

I created this week's sketch challenge card on a rather rainy and dreary day. I thought lemons would be perfect to help brighten it up!
Our Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating punch work together perfectly to make our bright and bold colored lemons. The background dots are actually the bubbles from the Seaside Shore set and all the words are from different stamps in Just Add Text. Happy Stamping!
