Hello my stamping friends! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times the world is experiencing now. Schools here are closed for six weeks and then they will reevaluate at that time. Jack is adjusting to the new way of homeschooling. He is doing well, but does miss his friends and teacher. This month's hop will hopefully spread a little sunshine on your day. It's all about flowers! If you are like me, you can't help but smile when you see them!
I decided to highlight the wonderful stamp set, Beautiful Friendship on both of my cards today. Up first I decided to create a 3D floral spray across the front of the card using Grapefruit Grove, Pear Pizazz and Blueberry Bushel. I am going to miss the retiring In-Colors, they are some of my favorites! Guess I'll just have to stock up. The center flowers are hand cut out and popped up on dimensionals. The border along all the flowers and leaves is also fussy cut and layered onto a piece of Blueberry Bushel that I stamped the Buffalo Check background on. I love the bold pop of the blue! The words are from the Abstract Impressions set. To create the speckling, I 'flicked' the Dark Night of Navy Blender Pen in its lid until I achieved the look I wanted.
Using the same stamp set again, this time I decided to work with the rose stamp in the set and inked it up in Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo to create a fun floral border on my card. The Granny Apple Green color of the leaves compliments the two colors. The speckling is from a stamp in the Waterfront set and the words are from Beauty Abounds.
One stamp set highlighted with two very different card ideas. I hope they brought a smile to your face today. I hope you check out everyone else's flower inspired projects in the list below. Take care of yourself until we stamp again....Hugs to you!
