Creation Station Blog Hop - Mad As A Hatter Mash Up
Hello stamping friends! Time for another round of a Creation Station Blog Hop! This month is about selecting a totally outlandish color palette or using stamps and dies in a different manner. I admit, I was struggling with this some. Or it might have been the weeks of online distance learning for my little one and the hours and hours he is putting into it each day. Hmmm......
Anyway....I decided to pull out the Love What You Do stamp set and have some fun. And well, this card is what transpired! Using Post-It Notes, I sectioned off a 1" area on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Using Garden Green and Granny Apple Green ink, I randomly stamped two of the smaller floral images from the set. Then I sponged Soft Sea Foam all over that area. Next I inked up the largest flower stem image from that set in Memento black ink and stamped that on the area as well. I removed the Post-It Notes and really liked the green tones, and decided to make the flowers blue. I stamped those flowers again on a different piece of Whisper White card stock and using Blender Pens gave them some color and fussy cut them all out. Some were adhered directly on and others were popped up on dimensionals. The words are also from that same set and inked in Night of Navy ink to coordinate with the card stock base. I know that card isn't way out there with it's colors, but I wanted to show you a different way to highlight a stem of flowers without it looking like just a stem of flowers. I can't wait for you to see what the talented, Sara has to share with you today. Happy Stamping!
